If I
but wrote a single verse of love
The
moon would guide my hand and use her shine
To
light the path on which my quill must move
To
captivate your heart and make you mine
I’d
pen the words describing your fey smile
And
write of skin the texture of a faun
Of
eyes that lift a man to heaven’s mile
Soft
hair that puts to shame a summer’s morn
A
touch to lift me up to untold heights
To
dream about the magic in your kiss
Should I convince you that my troth is right
Our
hearts will meld forever in love’s bliss
I
have not riches, yet my words are true
I
write this verse especially for you
more of
my sonnets
