 REDDIT ME:

Reverie love poem by Graeme King - funny, sad, serious and romantic poems. Poems for children, nature and environment poems. ©kingpoetry2007.

REVERIE

In daylight shadowed reverie I oft

envision you and see enraptured eyes

look to the skies, and pray that those aloft

reward the whispered echoes of your sighs.

Embraced in lovers' waltz we dance the day,

as summer breeze supplies its smiling tune

with nature's every instrument at play,

to love away a wishful afternoon.

Another day drifts by on envy's wing,

and shadows chase me in to greet the night

of dreams that only distant love can bring,

until the subtle interrupting light.

As dawn arrives I'm beckoned to the haze,

to lose myself in reverie of days.
