My Odyssey? Solution to the war.
I steered the Argo into stormy sea,
perhaps I should have lingered on
the shore...
they tried to sink my ship and
murder me.
A frowning centaur carried me away,
I had no right to question history.
A mighty army strove to win the day,
bombarding me with cannonballs of
doubt,
exploding all the words I couldn't
say.
I told the Brigadier I wanted out,
they stood me at the wall for
treason's sake,
then waited for the Corporal to
shout...
he choked upon a piece of layer
cake.
I got away and joined the
Underground,
we waited in our bunker for the
quake,
I flew, but burning sun was all I
found,
the President impeached me: "Can't
you walk?".
He bought my ashes - fifty bucks a
pound.
I'd like to stop the war but always
baulk,
a Trojan Horse is watching like a
Hawk. |
