Ladybird
ladybird fly away home,
Your house in on fire and your children are gone,
All except one and that's little Ann,
For she crept under the frying pan.
She's over in the corner, with a
bloke!
It sickens me to see such sad
neglect,
my God, I think I even smell the
smoke -
she hasn't even telephoned and
checked!
It's not my job to tell her of
the fire,
I wouldn't be in this bird's
place for quids,
her house by now a family funeral
pyre
a tragedy, such young and lovely
kids.
A sole surviving daughter - so I
heard,
who used a metal pan to shield
her head,
Police hope she can tell them
what occurred,
what torched the place with all
the kids in bed.
This ladybird should fly home in
a flash,
young Ann is waiting for her, in
the ash.
