Look at me! A lion
so ferocious,
Everyone expects me
to be grizzly,
How can I get mad, I'm so precocious...
Truth is that I
sing like Elvis Presley!
Deep within the
jungle, talent's lacking,
Tigers don't know
how to sing falsetto,
Jackals and hyena
can't sing backing,
Listen as I rip out
"In the Ghetto."
Blue suede shoes
has never sounded sweeter,
Don't be cruel if
you think something's missing,
It's so hard to
harmonize with cheetah,
Let alone that
anaconda's hissing!
Every night the
band and I get funky,
On the mixer:
crocodile or warthog;
Lighting all
controlled by rebus monkey,
Have you heard our
disco mix of "Hound Dog?"
Meerkat dancers try
to get me rappy,
Patter isn't
something I can grapple,
Some giraffe has
labeled me "girl happy,"
Can't he see me
crying in the chapel?
Come and see me
underneath the willow,
Best be early,
everybody's flocking;
Watch me swoon the
gnu and armadillo,
When I swing my
hips to Jailhouse Rocking.
Don't be scared if
maybe on a hot night
You can hear the
sounds of grinding pelvis;
It's just me - a
lion in the spotlight,
King of jungle rock
n roll...I'm Elvis!
