Gaya’s crying –
naughty children
tainted teardrops
falling
cautions soon
forgotten as they’ve grown
greedy playing
trampled garden
damaged home
appalling
careless still
despite the answers shown.
Gaya’s sighing –
looking down at
needle-tipped
releases
shakes her head as
wickedness embraced
temper fraying
Mother frowns at
empty mantelpieces
heirlooms gone can
never be replaced.
Gaya’s crying –
smell of burning
fireworks misguided
watching children
scuffle in the sand
curses flaying
vengeance yearning
battle plans decided
rivalry for Mother’s
soothing hand.
Gaya’s weeping –
conscience churning
offspring
disappointing
sign of heated
punishment appears
children cheeping
vows of learning
lowered heads
anointing
loving breasts awash
with bitter tears.
Gaya’s fretting –
wailing flurries
urchins shun her
charter
disrespect for
Mother’s labor pain
sad regretting
modern worries
son unfruitful
martyr
Gaya’s tears descend
as endless rain.
