My dog's nose doesn't smell like a rose,

but it sniffs everything in her path

an obedient pet, but she hasn't learned yet

how to sit when it's time for a bath!

She'll roll in stuff till she thinks it smells tough,

then come in and jump on my chair,

I give her a hug and she cuddles up snug

till my nose gets a whiff of the air!

She can't climb trees after parrots who tease,

but she tries to, and gives them a fright,

as she runs up the trunk then falls backwards kerplunk!

it's really the funniest sight.

She leans on my leg with those dark eyes that beg

for a second or two from my day,

then I head outside and her smile grins wide

coz her favorite thing is to play!

With a ball bounced high she will leap in the sky

it's no wonder she never gets fat

she's a dear, pure bliss, and with a puppy like this

I'll never ever, ever need a cat!
