a
flambé sunset bastes me
and the
tired landscape
in
impossible orange
as
long
shadows chase the horizon
into
ominous twilight
and the
earth seems to slow down
for
a
silver dollar moon to peek out
and
climb the black ladder of night
its
aura drowning the twinkling stars
I
listen to small sounds
of
early evening's creatures
who
rustle and scurry to prepare
for
another
dangerous foray
into
the wonder world
of
urban jungle magic
