In the magical
kingdom of Wish
Politics aren’t even
missed,
No doctors are here,
or lawyers, or fear
And racism doesn’t
exist.
Dogs never bark
after sunset
And cats have been
bred to be nice,
They think it’s
absurd to eat little birds
And they turn up
their noses at mice.
People are
constantly happy
And crying’s
considered a sin,
They don’t have an
army, they think war is barmy
And wear a
perpetual grin.
No gang wars or drug
lords are here,
Police are not
needed – no crime,
No drunks
in the park, you can walk after dark,
Old ladies feel safe
all the time.
Rap singers sing
about maidens,
Ice creams are ten
inches high,
Tollways are free
and and it’s warm in the sea
And for every girl
there’s a guy.
Everyone lives in a
mansion,
No-one goes hungry
for food,
The kids are polite,
do their homework at night
And nobody ever says
“dude.”
There’s never a
queue at the checkout,
Chocolates are always
on sale,
A huge money tree
you can harvest for free
And the check’s
always there, in the mail.
All of the
schoolgirls are pretty,
No-one gets dandruff
or zits,
Boys are all cool,
and nobody wags school
They all graduate,
no-one quits.
I love living here
in Wish Kingdom,
I hope that you all
can come too,
It’s peaches and
cream, a Utopian dream
And all that is
missing is U.
