The preacher
turned to me and asked the question,
I gave a
muffled answer from the heart,
explaining I
was racked with indigestion,
he nodded at
the organist to start.
The teacher
stared at me and yelled a warning,
my antics
now a legend at the school,
but history
exam results that morning
had proved
my Father right: I was a fool.
My Mother
screamed at me to stop my crying,
but I was
only two and liked to wail,
she read me
fairy tales - I wasn't buying,
I found her
hanging from the bathroom rail.
A shrink
confessed to me that I had talents,
I led him
on, agreed to everything,
the
tightrope highway held me in its balance,
and still I
waited for the bell to ring.
I heard the
prosecutor state my failings,
the sentence
was the worst that I could rate,
I fainted on
the highly polished railings
but no-one
seemed to care about my fate.
A mourner
with a smile and hentai lashes
intoned a
litany and dug the hole,
then jumped
into the air and threw my ashes,
a white
tornado took away my soul.
